Notice of Conclusion of License Agreement
for High-affinity Antibody Technology using GANP Mouse


 

We hereby announce that TRANS GENIC INC. (hereinafter referred to as q‡weqˆ), on November 20, 2006 concluded a license agreement with a global pharmaceutical company (hereinafter referred to as q‡the Companyqˆ), concerning high-affinity antibody technology using GANP mouse.

We have been granted an exclusive license regarding the technology used in producing a high-affinity antibody using GANP mouse and promoting patent licensing business and custom production service of monoclonal antibodies. Along with these efforts, several domestic and overseas corporations are assessing usefulness of the technology and the antibodies.

The Company, one of these corporations, has recently concluded the monoclonal antibodies produced by the technology shall be commercially viable. Based on the conclusion, we and the Company, on November 20, 2006 signed a license agreement regarding commercial use of the monoclonal antibody. On the conclusion of this agreement, we are entitled to a license fee, and in the event of commercialization and marketing; will be entitled to milestone fees and running royalties.

With the conclusion of this license agreement, we intend to conclude similar agreements with other pharmaceutical companies and diagnostic product manufacturers.

The effects of said agreement on our business performance for the fiscal term ending March are immaterial, but we intend to make an announcement in the future when it starts to have a significant impact on our business performance.
