Opening of “Reproductive Technology Training Center”


 

We hereby announce that TRANS GENIC INC. (hereinafter referred to as q‡weqˆ) opened q‡Reproductive Technology Training Centerqˆ in our Kobe Research Center to offer training programs for co-medicals engaging in assisted reproductive treatments and technical experts using experimental animals.


We have promoted knockout mouse business under the technical guidance of the Institute of Resource Development and Analysis at Kumamoto University. In the course of promoting it, we have accumulated technologies and know-how in the field of reproductive engineering and formulated our own in-house training systems for our researchers to learn various skills.

The aim of opening of the Training Center in the Kobe Research Center, which is our q‡technical center for introducing state-of-the-art technologies and improving our technologies and skillsqˆ, is to widely offer our technologies and know-how to people outside our company utilizing abovementioned in-house training systems.

The following is an overview of the Training Center.

Reproductive technologies which can be applied to the fields of assisted reproductive treatments and experimental animals

1. Co-medicals engaging in assisted reproductive treatments:

Our reproductive technologies can be applied to the fields of assisted reproductive treatments, let alone experimental animals and farm animals. It is said that approximately 280 thousands people are now receiving infertility treatments in Japan. Embryologists who deal with sperms, eggs, and embryos while supporting physicians are required to have sophisticated technical skills.

We opened the Training Center based on advices from experts in assisted reproductive treatments and experimental animals. We will continuously improve the training contents under the guidance of these experts.

Utilizing the q‡Reproductive Technology Training Centerqˆ, we will contribute to development of the fields of assisted reproductive treatments, experimental animals and farm animals, in addition to the field of drug discovery to which we have been offering our technologies and services through promoting knockout mouse business.

The effects of opening of the Training Center on our future business performance are as yet unknown.
