Through a business tie-up with Deltagen, Inc., we started on March 5, 2007 to offer access to Deltagen’s extensive inventory of knockout mice and related phenotypic data.
| Overview |
|
Along with the acceleration of drug discovery through information-based genomics, including pharmacogenomics, genetically-modified animals have become extensively used as valuable disease models and tools for functional analysis of specific genes. We offer Deltagen’s robust selection of knockout mice with their phenotypic data through a business tie-up with Deltagen, which owns proprietary technologies for the production of genetically-modified animals.

Deltagen, Inc., headquartered in California, U.S.A., has produced and offers approximately 900 lines of knockout mice (DeltaOne™), mainly coming from the most promising gene families for drug discovery, such as GPCRs, ion channels and transporter-related genes. A database containing phenotypic information on 750 of these 900 lines (DeltaBase®) is a very useful tool to identify drug targets, validate the therapeutic potential of specific genes and accelerate the drug discovery process.JSW Research Ltd. homepage
■ DeltaOne™
DeltaOne™ provides approximately 900 lines of knockout mice, primarily from the most promising gene families for drug discovery, that are valuable research tools in a wide range of disease areas, including diseases and conditions associated with the circulatory, central nervous, digestive and immune systems.

■ DeltaBase®
DeltaBase® offers phenotypic data on approximately 750 lines of knockout mice.
More than 20,000 data points, including behavioral analysis, histopathological assessment and analysis summaries, have been collected on each gene in the database.
